July has two birth flowers: the larkspur (also known as delphinium) and the water lily. These flowers are associated with the month of July, and each carries its own unique symbolism. Larkspur, with its vibrant, colourful blossoms, represents positivity and strong bonds. Water lilies, with their serene presence floating on water, symbolize purity, peace, and enlightenment.
The Woolly Bush (Adenanthos sericeus) is considered an Australian native birth flower for the month of July. It’s known for its soft, velvety foliage and is native to the south coast of Western Australia. It’s also sometimes referred to as Albany Woolly Bush.
